Just a reminder, free local delivery orders must be placed by Wednesday (tomorrow) for Thursday deliveries!
I know a lot of folks enjoyed the herbal baked goods at the farm stand, and while we wait for the snow to melt and spring to come, Ive added a new listing on the website that you can include in your free local delivery! I’ll be updating the listing at the start of each week for the baked goods for that week!
This week, we have Adaptogenic Sunbutter cookies, and with St Patrick’s day coming up, they’re perfect! When you bite in to these cookies you get a green surprise, but it’s not from food coloring!
Sunflower seeds have chlorogenic acid, and when it’s mixed with alkalinity (like baking soda) it turns green! Chlorogenic acid is an antioxidant and is a big reason why sunbutter is so fantastic. It’s cardio protective, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective and a nervous system modulator, and antimicrobial. Despite the name “chloro”, chlorogenic acids contain no chlorine and come from Greek origins (Khloro- light green) pertaining to the green color produced when chlorogenic acids are oxidized.
These cookies are made with Sunbutter, Almond flour, Maple syrup, egg, real salt, baking soda, sugar free chocolate chips and artificial dye free sprinkles.
If you’re wanting a treat but want it still to serve your body well, all while not sacrificing on flavor then these cookies are for you!
I’ll be making a fresh batch Thursday morning for Thursday afternoon deliveries 🤍🤍🌱
